PRP

The PRP Vampire Facial combines microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from the patient’s blood. After drawing blood, PRP is extracted and applied to the skin during microneedling, stimulating collagen production and promoting skin rejuvenation. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and improves skin texture. While mild redness and swelling may occur, downtime is minimal. The procedure offers natural-looking results with a series of treatments.

How does it work?

The Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial rejuvenation uses your own blood to promote collagen production and trigger growth factors.

Before Treatment
  • Avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Refrain from using facial scrubs or exfoliators.
  • Discontinue the use of certain products: Retinols (such as Retinoic acid, Retin A, Retinol, Retinoic Acetate), Alpha Hydroxy Acids (like Glycolic and Lactic acid), and Salicylic acid.
  • Do not undergo facial waxing during the week leading up to your treatment; this should be avoided for at least 2 weeks prior.
  • If your skin is prone to sensitivity (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or experiences stinging sensations or reactions from products), we recommend scheduling a consultation beforehand. This will allow us to provide tailored guidelines to prep your skin’s barrier, ensuring better tolerance of the treatment.
  • Inform us if you are prone to cold sores or herpes infection; you may need to take an oral anti-viral medication for two days before your procedure to prevent a herpes outbreak.
  • Refrain from using tanning beds or tanning creams for at least two weeks prior to your treatment.
Aftercare

Immediate Care (First 24 Hours)

  • Keep the treated area clean: Wash your face gently with a mild cleanser and lukewarm water for the first 48 hours after treatment. Avoid harsh scrubbing or rubbing the treated area.
  • Moisturize: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to the treated area to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing. Look for products that are non-comedogenic and free of irritants.
  • Protect your skin: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to the treated area daily, even if you’re indoors. Sun protection is crucial to prevent hyperpigmentation and other sun-related damage.
  • Avoid makeup: Refrain from applying makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours after treatment. This allows the skin to heal and reduces the risk of irritation or infection.
  • Avoid sun exposure: Minimize sun exposure for at least one week after treatment. If you must be outdoors, wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses and seek shade whenever possible.
  • Avoid certain skincare products: Avoid using products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and harsh exfoliants for the first week after treatment. These ingredients can irritate the skin and interfere with the healing process.
  • Avoid excessive sweating: Refrain from strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for the first 48 hours after treatment. Excessive sweating can irritate the skin and increase the risk of infection.
